Brighton spring wedding flowers
A colour popping spring wedding at The Pearly Cow in Brighton - Pam & Dan
Spring is the perfect time to get married! It’s the season of growth, renewal and new beginnings and what better way to convey this energy then through your choice of natural wedding flowers. Just like my lovely couple, Pam and Dan, who choose seasonal spring flowers in bright, vibrant colours for their Brighton wedding, fresh flowers full of joy and fun, adding an extra celebratory and optimistic note to the day.
Photos above by me (Bryony Mae Flowers) All other photos by wonderful local photographer - Charlotte Rebecca Photography - do check her out if you are getting married locally in Brighton and surrounding areas. I’m always thrilled when she shoots a wedding I am flowering, as I know the photos will be natural, fun, full of colour, energy and life, just like these.
It was a late March wedding that had a real Brighton feel to it from start to finish. Well, Brighton as you wish it always was anyway - blue skies, sun shining, everywhere you look people are out having fun and enjoying the city – perfect. The day began with an intimate ceremony at Brighton Register Office* followed by a reception party at The Pearly Cow, a gorgeous independent restaurant on the seafront opposite the iconic West Pier.
The restaurant at The Pearly Cow is beautiful and cosy, with a contemporary yet timeless feel - perfect for creatively minded couples like Pam and Dan. We used white ceramic bud vases in a simple modern style on the long tables to reflect the aesthetic of the venue and allowing the bright colours of the flowers to pop out. We also added some kenzan bowls using low vessels with floral frogs to secure the flowers– minimalist, structured and sustainable, table florals that are a bit different and unexpected.
We also added ivory pillar candles to the table (enclosed in glass cylinder vases for safety!) Lighting is so important for your event and soft candlelight really does elevate the mood. Don’t forget that March in the UK is still subject to an early sunset of around 6pm.

The bouquet was a curated explosion of spring flowers: ranuculus, tulips, anemones and the most gorgeous Icelandic poppies in warm colour-popping shades of pink, orange, yellow and cream. Pam opted for a gorgeous naturally dyed silk ribbon ‘bouquet drape’ from Silk & Purl, one of my favourite artisan ribbon suppliers. Silk ribbon adds a beautiful luxurious feel and floats divinely especially on a breezy spring day in Brighton.
There is just so much variety available with seasonal spring flowers: the range of colours, the shapes and textures are all so wonderfully different. So much to love with these flowers, in fact I think everyone should get married in the spring!
Here’s what Pam and Dan said about their wedding flowers at The Pearly Cow in Brighton:
“We were absolutely blown away with how stunning everything looked. Bryony provided a professional service, paying attention to every detail of the day. Her vision was perfect and matched the venue, time of year and style of the wedding perfectly. She kept us updated throughout the planning process with vision boards which that helped us plan other aspects of the day. She was so friendly and approachable, and made the whole experience perfect. The final result was amazing, she made the most stunning bouquet, child flower crown and buttonholes and the table decorations were incredible.””
Thanks so much Pam and Dan, I loved creating the flowers for your Brighton wedding! Thank you for choosing Bryony Mae Flowers.
