Natural funeral flowers, thoughtfully designed in Sussex

Farewell flowers for funerals and sympathy, created with care and sensitivity.

I create natural, seasonal funeral flowers for families across Sussex, thoughtfully designed to reflect your loved one.
They are a world away from standard, off-the-shelf tributes — more personal, uplifting, and a gentle celebration of life.

I know this can be a difficult time, and flowers are often just one of many things to think about.
Each arrangement is made without floral foam, using thoughtful, eco-friendly techniques and materials.

Whether you have a clear idea or don’t know where to start, I’ll guide you through the process gently and simply.

HOW TO ORDER FUNERAL FLOWERS

I know this can be a difficult and emotional time and my aim is to make ordering funeral flowers as simple and stress-free as possible.

– Get in touch by phone, email or the enquiry form
– Tell me a little about what you need, or I can help guide you
– I’ll talk you through options and provide a clear quote
– I liaise with funeral directors and arrange delivery
– I personally deliver the flowers to the service, crematorium or home

So once everything is arranged, it’s one less thing to worry about.

FUNERAL FLOWER OPTIONS

I offer a range of natural, seasonal funeral flowers, all designed individually rather than from a set template.

This includes:

– Coffin sprays
– Tied sheaves (a softer, more natural alternative to a traditional bouquet)
– Wreaths and circular tributes
– Eco funeral letters made using willow, moss and natural materials
– Flowers for the church, crematorium, wake or home

Everything is created to reflect the person it is for, using seasonal flowers and a natural, relaxed style.

PRICING GUIDANCE

As each arrangement is bespoke, prices vary depending on the size, style and flowers used.

As a guide:

– Tied sheaves from £120
– Wreaths from £75
– Coffin sprays from £160
– Funeral letters priced individually depending on size and detail

I’m always happy to talk through options and create something that works within your budget.

ECO-FRIENDLY FUNERAL FLOWERS

I specialise in eco-friendly funeral flowers that are made without plastic, wire or floral foam, allowing them to naturally return to the earth.

This approach is gentler on the environment and is often required for natural burial grounds such as Clayton Wood, just a few minutes from my studio in Hassocks.

I’m also a member of The Farewell Flowers Directory, which connects people looking for more natural, sustainable funeral flowers with independent florists across the UK.

A NATURAL, PERSONAL STYLE

My floristry style is natural, loose and slightly wild, with nothing too structured or overly formal.

Personal touches are always welcome — whether that’s a favourite flower, meaningful colours, or even flowers from your loved one’s garden.

Every arrangement is created individually, with the aim of reflecting their personality and what feels right for you.

SEASONAL, LOCAL FLOWERS

I use high-quality, seasonal flowers from trusted suppliers, and during the British growing season I prioritise locally grown flowers from Sussex wherever possible.

I’m lucky to work with growers and flower farms in and around Hassocks, including Ditchling, Hurstpierpoint, Henfield and Cuckfield.

Delivery is free of charge within the following areas: Hassocks, Hurstpierpoint, Burgess Hill and Ditchling. I also deliver to other areas in Sussex including Haywards Heath, Brighton, Hove, Cuckfield, Lewes, Henfield and Crawley for a small delivery charge to cover time and expenses.

  • "Thank you so much for mum’s beautiful flowers. They were such a lovely contribution to her service. Many thanks for taking the time to really make such a personal and special tribute."

  • "It was nice to find that Bryony shares my ethos, she supplied a beautiful fully biodegradable wreath with the seasonal native flowers and berries and aromatic foliage at a moment's notice and delivered it locally. It was the most fitting arrangement to go to Clayton Wood burial ground."

  • "The flowers turned out even more beautiful than we expected. Bryony was so caring and thoughtful at every step and she went above and beyond to make a difficult experience easier for us."

  • "Bryony created the most thoughtful and creative floral arrangements for my father’s funeral. We were looking for something simple yet elegant—letters spelling DAD, a small sheaf, and a heart. Bryony took the time to truly understand what we had envisioned and crafted the most beautiful, eco-friendly pieces that felt both meaningful and full of life. Her spring-like creations were simply perfect, and I’m so grateful for her talent and care during such an important and difficult time."

  • "The flowers were wonderful, the best funeral flowers I've ever seen. I have brought them home to admire them for the next few days."

  • "Bryony made the most beautiful tribute for a family member who loved her flowers and garden. I would recommend Bryony to anyone who needs flowers at this time because she is so warm and friendly but also so professional. You know this part is left in very safe hands, to know that not only will the flowers be beautiful but also that they would be looked after right up to delivery."

  • “Absolutely brilliant - Bryony was receptive, sensitive and very accommodating of our wishes to include flowers from mum’s own garden. The casket flowers were breathtaking, so wonderfully fresh and natural. She supplied a beautiful wreath too - again, subtle and full of natural feel - and a gentle spray of roses and delphiniums. Everything was delivered without any fuss - everything was perfect. We can’t thank her enough.”
